9 of pentacles tarot card meaning - a simple definition!

A few words to describe the card:

luxury, accomplishment, loneliness

9 of Pentacles

The 9 of Pentacles tarot card typically depicts a person in an area of luxury. The card usually has a person royally clothed, with a bird, as a symbol of wealth. This is a card about appreciating what you’ve accomplished. The previous pentacle cards were about hard work. Now you’re finally able to value that hard work and just enjoy it. You’ve sowed the land, taken the fruit of the labor and made something beautiful.

But, with all of your hard work, you may have separated yourself from others. You may have had your blinders on to get the work done quickly and set aside everything else, including people. So with all of this luxury, you might feel alone with it. You may have inadvertently done this to yourself. Try and let people in to enjoy the luxury instead of being alone.

If you have this card in a reading, think back to all of the hard work you’ve done. It’s the time to enjoy what you’ve created. This is the time to take a break and enjoy. But make sure to invite other people in to celebrate with you.

Still Confused?

Still confused about the meanings of the cards? A few tools that have been really helpful for me have been: practice, taking the time to look at each card, read books like Tarot: Learn How to Read and Interpret the Cards by Kim Arnold. Or try out tarot spreads! Try doing a simple reading every day. The Labyrinthos app is really helpful too. Or try some that I’ve created by looking here: Tarot Spreads.
