The 10 of wands tarot card is a card of great pain and trying to do too much. You will break if you keep going at this rate. This rate is not sustainable, and you are no closer to your goal.
This is not a happily ever after card like some of the other 10s (see 10 of cups), but rather a message to let go.
I suggest, while looking at this card description, you have your tarot deck in front of you and decide for yourself if you agree with the feelings on this page or if the card represents something entirely different to you.

A few words to describe the card:
Must release, burdened, weight of the world, doing too much
10 of Wands
The 10 of wands card is a sign to release some of your burdens. You physically and mentally cannot keep going the way you currently are. Sometimes being strong means to know that you cannot do everything, you cannot carry everything.
If you see this tarot card in a reading, it is telling you to let go of something, or you will break. Or that you already have. Sometimes the better option in life is to let go of this goal, and look for a different one. You are not weak for dropping some of these responsibilities and finding a different path.
Card Imagery
The imagery depicted on the 10 of wands tarot card is one of someone struggling. They are trying to carry too much getting to a destination that is not ever getting any closer. Depending on the tarot deck, the card either depicts the weight of the wands on the person’s back, and them bent doubled over trying to carry it, or having just dropped this entire weight from not being able to carry it.
The destination they seek is far away, and they will not be able to make it if they continue to carry all of this on their back.
Still Confused?
Still confused about the meanings of the cards? A few tools that have been really helpful for me have been: practice, taking the time to look at each card, read books like Tarot: Learn How to Read and Interpret the Cards by Kim Arnold. Or try out tarot spreads! Try doing a simple reading every day. The Labyrinthos app is really helpful too. Or try some that I’ve created by looking here: Tarot Spreads.
