The knight of wands tarot card represents where air and fire combine to create an explosive momentum, propelling you or someone else towards ideas, actions, or passions.
I suggest, while looking at this card description, you have your tarot deck in front of you and decide for yourself if you agree with the feelings on this page or if the card represents something entirely different to you.

A few words to describe the card:
Forward movement, gaining momentum, passion
Knight of Wands
This card is where air and fire combine – when air combines with fire, it can grow significantly. This is a card saying now is the time to make moves towards your goals and passions, because you have the momentum.
If it represents another person, can mean someone that is high energy and you have to prepare for them with ideas and solutions. If it represents you, can mean both finally clearing through any blocks to accomplish things as well as going too fast- it’s great that you have this energy and momentum going forward, just be sure to check on it and ensure it’s not too much. Life is a balance, despite what this card is depicting.
Card Imagery
The knight of wands card is usually depicted with a horse rearing, either with a rider on them, or the rearing horse in the background.
When a horse is rearing, it can mean a few different things. One is that the horse is in pain, or has a fear of pain, and this is an easy way to tell the rider that something is wrong. The other reason a horse can be rearing is because it feels like the rider is keeping them from going. They are frustrated that they are being stopped.
I feel like this card can represent both of those meanings behind a horse rearing well. This is a card of momentum and going forward. Let go and allow this forward momentum to happen. Once the momentum has started, then work on aiming it in the direction you want to move. It’s a lot easier to keep going than start from stopping.
Alternatively, with the court cards, it can represent someone in your life. This card can be a good reminder to check in on someone and make sure that what they’re doing is in the best interest. With a horse rearing for being in pain, or fear of being in pain, it can represent you worrying about what the other person is doing. They may be going too fast, without realizing it is too much and can cause trouble further down the road.
