This summer solstice tarot spread is about checking in with yourself, to see how things are going. This is the sunniest time of the year, and it’s also the time to prepare for the following year. Only with this preparation will we be able to thrive in winter. So it’s important to take a moment to see how you’re feeling!

Before You Start
Before you start, it’s important to prepare your space. Decide if you’d like to do this tarot spread in the sunlight, or wait until it’s dark. Light some candles if you’d like, and get your notebook ready! Choose your tarot deck, and shuffle it to clear out any remaining energies from the last tarot spread. (You can read here how I lay out my notebook for tarot spreads).
This tarot spread you’ll be looking for the tarot cards that are surrounding The sun tarot card. So rather than pulling cards from the top, or somewhere else of your choosing, turn the deck over and find the sun card. Then take the 3 cards on either side as well (7 cards in total including the sun).
Summer Solstice Tarot Spread
The left side of this tarot spread is for checking in on you, to see how life is going, whereas the right side is for looking towards the future and see what you can be working on.
- Checking in – how are you feeling? Is there anything specific you should be paying attention to?
- A message for you. What is important to know at this moment?
- Something that’s causing you stress in this moment.
- What is important to focus on in the future? What should you start working on?
- Ways you can make this work.
- How do you get where you want to be? (this card acts like a compass, guiding you)
