This winter solstice tarot spread is intended to focus on changes. As the solstice means the days are beginning to brighten again, we are emerging from darkness to warmer, sunnier days. To move forward, we must look at our past to learn from mistakes for a positive future.

The solstice reminds us that life moves in cycles, as the Wheel of Fortune reminds us. In this spread, the cards are chosen slightly differently from what you might be used to. You’ll finding the Wheel of Fortune card in the deck, and the cards for this spread will be the ones on either side of it. Set your intentions for this tarot spread to be reminiscent, and how to move forward.
Think about the last few months, and focus on where you want to be, with moving forward into the longer days to come! This winter solstice tarot spread focuses on the cycle that is life.

Instructions for the Winter Solstice Tarot Spread
Shuffle your cards. Focus on the winter solstice, and the changing of days. Once you feel your cards have been thoroughly shuffled, stop.
Next, find the Wheel of Fortune (X) in your deck. Collect 7 cards in total: the 3 cards before, the Wheel of Fortune, and the 3 cards after (like in the picture above). Continue to the layout section, and set the cards out as instructed. If the Wheel of Fortune is on the bottom or the top, go to the opposite end of the deck to pick the remaining cards (if Wheel of Fortune is last card in the deck, pull cards 1,2,3 from the top of the deck).

- Shed a light on past struggles. This card represents the last 6 months. What was held on to too tightly?
- What was the cause of those struggles?
- How to let go of the past.
- How to feel fulfilled? What we can focus on to achieve that.
- Listen to your intuition and inner feelings. What are they telling you?
- What can we hope to accomplish in the next 6 months? Until the summer solstice.
